Colour options for final piece

When concidering colours to use in my final, I had a few options, I could use earthy green and blue tones to represent nature and life, or contrast this by using rusted brown tones representing the decay and destruction.  First I felt the rusted tones would go well with my concept of addiction, as its still thought of as a taboo subject. By using the hints of red, it gives the imagry of danger, something to be avoided and not discussed. I added highlights of grey to emphasise the cells made by the acrylic and also to represent cold metal, which can be seen as unforgiving and shows the stages of metal rustings, from shiny silver to the rough orange and brown brassy tones once the metal has been broken down. This reflects ones mental and phsycial health after becoming addicted to a substance or drug.  Contrasting this, I did several experiments on large canvases also exploring using brighter, more primary tones to see how they'd complent eachother.
