Research into addicts/ people who are chemically dependant

Using Google Forms, I created an anonymous survey targeted at addicts/people who concider themselves chemically dependant. Conducting this survey gave me a great insight into addiction, and peoples personal opinions on their situation. Conducting this research gave me more ideas on different drugs, and their popularities. So far, (15/11/18) the majority of responses are under 18, or between 18-25, I would like to try and expand this to get more of a variety of responses.
Below are screenshots of the questions I included.

I chose to ask these questions because I wanted to keep it breif, and annoymous and not be too invasive, as addicton can be quite a deep and personal topic. I wanted to know the different types of drugs people use, and the time frame of their use and addiction. I also wanted to know how they feel about others opinions, and if they're aware. Also just to summarize if people consider themselves happy or satisfied with life, as this will show how their opinions on addiction link to their life.

Below is the results:

The survey also produces charts showing this data, which is below:

To reflect upon this information, I found out that the general trend was people who considered themselves happier, said they're family/friends were aware, and they gave positive comments about their addiction. Saying they've made friends, are more social and it makes them more productive.
However, in contrast, there were also people who didn't concider themselves very happy. This group of people mentioned the negative side effects of their addiction, loss of money and isolation to name a few. It seems these people seemed ashamed of their habits, and its effecting their mental health in a negative way, and decreasing their happiness in life.

I've spoke to a few people who have used drugs and the general trend I figured out is that if they concidered they used in moderation they feel they're in control of their usage and don't really concider themselves addicted. In my experience I've seen people who have gone through the 4 stages of chemical dependancy, and how its slowly creeped up on them, until theyre in a situation where they've had to borrow money to fund their addiction, and they were mixing with the wrong people. I found when I confronted them they denied they're habits.
